BASSIST
Adept at many styles of music, Kirk has worked with many local and international musicians such as the late legendary jazz trumpeter Melton Mustafa, the late saxophonist Grover Washington, bassist Victor Wooten, and countless others. He has toured with recording artist Joss Stone, and was the musical director for Lauryn Hill. He has performed with the likes of Kelly Roland, Frank Romano of Matchbox 20, Damion and Kymani Marley, Lionel Richie, and many others.
PRODUCER
As an acclaimed producer, Kirk has worked on and produced over 20 albums and was nominated for a Grammy for work done on the hit single on the double platinum album by Ricky Martin called "The Best Thing About Me Is You".
Kirk is also produced a short film documentary called "Condo Commandos" which was selected to be a part of the Cannes Film Festival and subsequently was the winner of the 2010 Fort Lauderdale Film Festival. Currently he is working on film projects including Ozark on Netflix, American Soul, a BET production, and HBO series Love Craft Country produces by Jordan Peele.
COMPOSER
He has written and starred in commercials for radio and television including producing 14 episodes of his own Internet series called "The Living Room Diaries", a satirical interview program based upon the lives of local South Florida musicians. This series received acclaim on the local station WSVN Fox channel Decco Drive TV show.
SOLO SHOWS
Skill and technology join forces as Kirk Green has created an innovative way of using his six string bass to play both keyboard and bass parts simultaneously while singing his songs. A one man rhythm section and with the aid of a drum machine, he is able to crank out all genres of songs to fit any occasion.
LIVE ART - MUSIK PERFORMANCE
Music and the arts go hand in hand. As an additional part of some of his shows, Kirk invites renowned Czech artist Maja Fialova to join him and create her own masterpieces to coincide with the music. These works are then available for purchase at the end of each performance.
CLASSES
As an accomplished musician specializing in many different styles of music, Kirk Green offers classes and lessons to students. His teaching skills have been employed to instruct students of all backgrounds including the cast of the HBO series Lovecraft Country and the ABC reboot of The Wonder Years.
Lessons are available on electric and upright bass, and acoustic and electric guitar.
